Meet Stacie
Founder of Velvet Fern Creative, a Woman-Owned Studio

I’m Stacie Jeanjaquet, a woman-owned Castle Rock website designer and founder of Velvet Fern Creative. I love designing websites for creatives, small businesses, and boutique brands.
My spark came at age ten, sitting in a library class on “The World Wide Web,” entranced by the glow of a beige IBM. It felt like magic. Clunky, slow-loading ‘90s magic, but magic nonetheless. I worked to learn everything I could from computers, even breaking them apart and rebuilding them.
That curiosity for computers and the web never faded. It just gathered new experiences before bringing me back to where I am today.
The Detour That Made Me Better
Before I built websites, I built experiences. Music taught me how to move people through rhythm and story. Hospitality refined that instinct as I coordinated conferences at high-end resorts around the world.
I learned that the best experiences are anticipatory, seamless, and unforgettable. Those lessons became the foundation of how I design websites for artists, boutique hotels, and small businesses today.
Becoming the Expert My Clients Need
I returned to web design when I needed a site for my own business and realized I cared more about building the site than running the business itself. That pull led me into agency work, where I was given advice that shaped everything I do now: “Become the expert your clients need.”
I ran with that! I studied site architecture, UX design, SEO, and conversion strategy until I could lead with confidence. Clients began calling me their go-to problem solver for site audits, broken websites, and complex builds.
Websites for Creatives That Leave a Lasting Impression
A website should be more than functional. It should make people feel something.
Anyone who knows me has heard me whisper one too many times, “Wow, that is so beautiful.” Whether it’s a Colorado sunset I dragged friends to see, an art gallery I convinced them to tour, or an architectural detail in a boutique hotel. I live for those moments of awe. The ones that make you pause.
That is what I bring into web design. Your website should flow like an experience. It should draw people in before they even realize why. It should position you with confidence so future clients, collectors, or customers feel something. Because that feeling is what turns visitors into customers.
That is what I love. That is what I do.

What It’s Like to Work Together
I Listen First
I Guide Each Step
I Build for the Long Term
Every project begins with listening. Your goals, pain points, and story shape the process from start to finish. Nothing you share gets lost. The result is a website that works, reflects your brand, and leaves you feeling proud and supported.
Websites can feel overwhelming. Maybe yours isn’t working or you’re starting from scratch. I walk you through each step. From choosing the right platform to handing over a website playbook and training videos, the process stays simple and clear.
Every site needs more than design. It needs a solid foundation. For redesigns, I uncover what is broken and make it stronger. For new builds, I put the right systems in place from the start. In both cases, you get a website built to last and a brand positioned to grow.
I Listen First
Your goals, pain points, and story guide the entire project.
I Guide Each Step
I make the process simple with clear guidance so you always know what’s happening and why.
I Build for the Long Term
Every site I build starts with a strong foundation. It runs smoothly from day one and is set up to grow with you.

Let’s Start Your Project
Every project begins with listening. Share your goals and pain points here. I’ll review what you send and reply within one business day with clear next steps.
